A few minor things have been changed or added in the 0.7.1a update:

* You can new see the date in-game in the top-right part of the screen.  This will make it easier to keep track of how far into the story you are for the future full release.

* The Bible translation has been changed to the Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition to avoid copyright restrictions.

You might ask yourself, copyright restrictions for the Bible?  What good does this bring to the world and followers of Christ?  I understand the cause for concern and the potential for scandal, so let me explain.

Many translations are the product of hundreds of scholars working full time to translate the Bible into a more readable and understandable language while maintaining as much accuracy as possible after translation.  Each of these people had to be payed for their work and so with the maintaining of copyright for a time, the copyright holders can recoup the costs they took in providing said translation.  Therefore, to avoid any copyright issues, I am using a legitimately approved translation that is no long under copyright restrictions.  I still encourage the use of modern translations like the NABRE as it is more readable using modern English while not sacrificing truth to do so.

I have also take the liberty of changing out a few things that do make the 1899 Douay-Rheims translation sound archaic like the thee's and thou's.  For example using James 2:14-17:

Original text:

"What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him?  And if a brother or sister be naked, and want daily food:  And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit?  So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself."

Modified text:

"What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but has not works? Shall faith be able to save him?  And if a brother or sister be naked, and want daily food:  And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit?  So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself."

Note that I do keep some archaic phrasings in such as "ye," "brethren," or "be naked" rather than "is naked."  It is because I want to modify as little as possible and most people understand such phrasings as they are not so far outside of our current understanding of English.
